Located in the municipality of Manno, the Ambrosart Center is an architectural complex completed in 2018 by Genazzi & Artioli General Contractor SA.
This project required a seamless integration of modern aesthetics and advanced functionality, with the goal of creating a welcoming and safe environment for visitors and patients.
Alusys was entrusted with the fabrication and installation of high-quality window frames, which include French doors, designed for maximum energy efficiency, and fire doors, which are essential for the building’s safety. These elements, in addition to meeting the highest technical standards, blend harmoniously with the overall design of the building, contributing to both its functionality and durability.

Facade Fw 50 Mullions and transoms
High-performance mullion and transom façade with 50 mm visible width: the basis for a variety of solutions The Schüco FWS 50 façade system is an excellent basic system for horizontal façades and roofs with a high level of flexibility, attractive design solutions and optimized manufacturing and installation processes. The wide range of systems enables solutions for a wide variety of requirements and applications. A transparent fall protection integrated into the profile blends seamlessly and elegantly with the exterior aesthetics of the facade. The fall safety load required for full-height opening units and low parapet heights can be implemented with consistent sight section widths and a continuous profile. The mullion and transom facade, with 50-mm face sections, offers great design freedom with a wide selection of undercover and cover profiles and possible combination with Schüco windows, doors and sliding systems. Optimized system elements allow electrical components to be easily and reliably integrated into Schüco automated doors or sunscreens.
With the mullion and transom facade, Schüco once again fulfills its obligation to create ecologically sustainable products. The Schüco FWS 50.SI (Super Insulated) system has been awarded the silver “Cradle-to-Cradle Certified™” sustainability certification by the independent C2CPII institute, in cooperation with EPEA in Hamburg, for its recyclability and low pollutant content.
Facade FW50 SG
All-glass mullion and transom facade with high thermal insulation for a variety of solutions.
Timeless aesthetics combined with maximum functionality – the Schüco FWS 50 SG.SI (Structural Glazing Super Insulated) façade system enables the construction of large, all-glass façades that meet the highest thermal insulation requirements at the passive house level. The system is based on an innovative insulating system, infills and triple insulating glass that provide low transmittance values. This involves triple insulating glass. The system, with a visible section width of 50 mm, can be designed with coplanar all-glass aesthetics or with semi-structural glazing. Further design freedom is allowed by the full range of covers: a horizontal or vertical cover on the facade can create interesting architectural variations. Compatibility with the Schüco AWS 114 window system provides additional functionality and user comfort: manually or mechatronically operated insertion elements, with outward-opening or parallel-opening projecting windows, can be integrated into the all-glass facade with a homogeneous aesthetic, even for large-format solutions.
Alucubond ventilated facades
ALUCOBOND is a composite panel obtained by a continuous manufacturing process that allows it to be cut to size.
It consists of two sheets of PERALUMAN aluminum alloy – 100 (Al Mg 1 ) 0.5 mm/cad. thick coupled with an extruded black polyethylene core for a total thickness of 6 mm.
The treatment of the exposed face will be carried out by oven pre-painting in two layers based on PVDF (Kynar) resins, thickness 30 microns, applied by “coil-coating” procedure in accordance with E.C.C.A. (European Coil Coating Association) regulations.
The advantages derived from these production steps are mainly:

Highly thermally insulated Block System window with concealed sash for sophisticated design requirements
With outstanding thermal insulation values and a slim design with no visible sash contours, the Schüco AWS 75 BS.SI+ (Block System Super Insulation) window system meets the highest architectural and energy efficiency requirements with the greatest possible transparency. The aluminum window system is part of the Schüco AWS modular system for 75 mm construction depth with optimized features in terms of functionality, energy efficiency and design. The system’s high flexibility enables sophisticated design solutions that meet a wide range of architectural requirements for the building envelope, such as single windows, strip windows or insertion elements in Schüco façade systems, as well as “floating windows.” The sash opening system includes a wide range of types: casement, tilt-and-turn, as well as transom fanlights. Another advantage of the Block series is the wide range of profiles, including corner mullions, structural mullions, symmetrical and asymmetrical mullions, glazing beads and insertion outer frames as well as TipTronic sash profiles. They enable the use of the Schüco TipTronic SimplySmart generation of electrical equipment, a fully integrated drive for numerous opening types.

Janisol 2 EI30 fire doors and partitions
No other system can meet the requirements of building safety and the demands of creative freedom like the Janisol 2 fire protection system. The choice of steel as a material allows for stable and safe structures with extremely thin profiles. Thus, it is possible to create multifunctional doors and partitions that meet both architectural needs and the requirements of the construction company. The system’s performance is internationally attested by numerous fire tests in combination with a variety of glazing types.
With the expansion of the proven steel profile series to RC3 with the inclusion of panic function, Jansen presents the European market with a CE-marked panic door that meets all the requirements of EN 16034. The Janisol 2 heat-insulating sliding fire door offers the possibility of being fully automated and thus creating a non-contact passage, a factor that should not be underestimated from a hygiene perspective.
